Well last night was the oscars and I must say I was a little gutted that Avatar didn't win more awards. I definitely felt it deserved Best Film and Best Original Score, however I do feel that it won where it deserved to win in the form of its pioneering visual effects (if they hadn't gotten those then you would know the oscars were fixed and Anti-Cameron).
It was also good to see an animated feature getting more recognition by the academy, especially one by the genius' at Pixar. Lets just hope that one day the Academy may recognise the work of comedy in the oscars and I felt that The Hangover definately deserved to be up there amongst the top films of the year. But thats all to do with the bigger awards.
What I want to focus on is one of the smaller, less recognised awards that was presented on the night and that is the Shorts categories and in particular the Animated Shorts. The winner was a film called Logorama and is a fantastic piece of film making. Created entirely from recognisable logos thats make up various elements of the cityscape and characters. Its a very unique film and just goes to show how important logos are to our subconscious and conscious minds and how we perceive the world through them. I could go on and tell you all about it but I would suggest that you check out the video below.
Oh and congratulations to the production team H5 for making the film and winning the Oscar. Look forward to seeing what you guys do next.

Finally LIVE!!! at Last
Well its been over 2 months since I last posted on here and it certainly has been a crazy two months and start to 2010. Some Good, Some Bad but you have to take all the punches, the highs and the lows. Not quite what I was hoping for with 2010 but you know what they say "Onwards and Upwards".
So with that in mind I am pleased to announce that my full website is now finally live. Its been a labour of love and hate but I am so pleased that it is complete and I can show you all. Its been in the pipelines for such a long time and was always so busy doing work for my clients that I kept procrastinating and putting it off. However how can I recommend the importance of an online presence and promoting yourself if Im not doing it myself (something Im sure most designers and other creatives can testify to - we are all just as bad at it as one another but great when it comes to our clients).
Anyways, Ill stop rabbiting on and let you go and view the site and hopefully it will inspire you to get in touch and get some work done for yourselves and your businesses :D
